Il musicista e cantautore Iain Matthews non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Èstato un membro originale della leggendaria band folk-rock FairportConvention dal 1967 al 1969 prima di lasciarla per formare la MatthewsSouthern Comfort, con cui ha ottenuto il primo posto in Inghilterra nel 1970con "Woodstock" di Joni Mitchell. Nei primi anni '70, oltre a registrare dasolo per Vertigo ed Elektra, Iain suonò nel supergruppo folk rock Plainsong.Questa mole di lavoro ha stabilito Iain come un maestro-artigiano sia dellesue canzoni che di quelle degli altri - una tradizione che ha continuato ad esplorare nel corso dei decenni.
