Edizione del 20° anniversario (180g) con nuovo master. I Candlemass sono una band doom metal svedese formatasi a Upplands Väsby, un sobborgo di Stoccolma, nel 1984 dal bassista, autore e leader del gruppo Leif Edling, insieme al batterista Matz Ekström. Il gruppo ha avuto un'influenza determinante sul doom metal, e lo stesso genere epic doom ha preso il nome dal loro album di debutto Epicus Doomicus Metallicus. Insieme a Pentagram, Saint Vitus e Trouble, i Candlemass sono stati riconosciuti come uno dei “quattro grandi del doom metal”. Nel novembre 2004, la band ha annunciato la sua seconda reunion. Registrano un nuovo album, intitolato semplicemente Candlemass, che viene pubblicato nel maggio 2005. L'album ha fruttato loro un Grammy svedese quell'anno.
