Il cofanetto di The Art Of The Trio presenta in doppio LP lintegrale delle sublimi interpretazioni di standard che il grande pianista Sonny Clark registrò in tre sedute a cavallo fra il 1957 ed il 1958 con i contrabbassisti Paul Chambers e Jymie Merritt, e i batteristi Philly Joe Jones e Wes Landers. Questa nuova edizione (in stereo) entra ora a fare parte della serie per audiofili Tone Poet prodotta da Joe Harley, masterizzata da Kevin Gray a partire dai nastri master originali (e ovviamente analogici), e stampata su vinile da 180 grammi presso RTI. Il tutto è infine confezionato in una copertina gatefold (a libro) arricchita da un libretto con nuove note di copertina di Syd Schwartz, più le note di copertina originali di Ben Sidran e Bob Porter, e foto inedite di Francis Wolff.
