BONGO FURY compie 50 anni! La classica collaborazione tra Frank Zappa e Captain Beefheart nel maggio 1975 ha portato a una serie di nuove composizioni, un tour e infine un album. Bongo Fury è composto principalmente da registrazioni dal vivo dall'Armadillo Headquarters di Austin, in Texas, insieme ad alcune registrazioni in studio dal The Record Plant di Los Angeles. L'album è un'aggiunta memorabile al catalogo di Zappa e l'ultimo a riportare il nome della band Mothers prima che fosse ritirato nel 1976. Questa nuova edizione per il 50° anniversario presenta 5 CD di materiale (circa l'80% inedito) che include outtakes in studio e brani live, oltre ai due concerti all'Armadillo completi e remixati dai master originali a 16 tracce. Include anche foto inedite e note di copertina del membro della band Denny Walley e del Vaultmeister Joe Travers. Il Blu-Ray presenta nuovi mix Dolby Atmos 5.1 e audio stereo ad alta risoluzione con esperienze surround bonus dal Vault di Zappa.
