Registrati nel 1974 e nel 1975, Fighting e Nightlife sono i due album dei Thin Lizzy che presentano per la prima volta quella che è considerata la formazione classica della band irlandese con i chitarristi Scott Gorham e Brian Robertson.
Nightlife esce nel novembre 1974, prodotto da Ron Nevison e Phil Lynott, e contiene classici brani del gruppo come Still in Love with You e Sha La La.
Fighting segue nel settembre 1975 e raggiunge il 60° posto nelle classifiche UK, con brani come Rosalie e Suicide. Questo cofanetto contiene due versioni di Nightlife e Fighting, per entrambi l'album originale e un nuovo mix stereo di Richard Whittaker, supervisionato dal chitarrista Scott Gorham e masterizzato da Geoff Pesche ad Abbey Road.
Fighting è inoltre disponibile in una nuova versione masterizzata con quattro tracce recentemente remixate in stereo.
Gli altri CD che completano il boxset contengono mix inediti tratti dagli archivi della band, outtake, B-Sides, sessioni radiofoniche e, per la prima volta ufficialmente, un intero concerto registrato dal vivo a Derby nel 1975.
