Nel 2003 uscì Fly On The Wall, una raccolta di Paul Weller in 3LP e 3CD con b-side, rarità, remix e brani dal
vivo tratti dai primi dieci anni (1991/2001) della sua carriera solistica. Nessuno di questi brani era apparso su
album ma solo su 7”, 10”, 12”, CD singoli o promozionali.
Will Of The People segue il metodo di Fly On The Wall accompagnando l’ascoltatore in un altro viaggio
attraverso un simile mix di rarità, questa volta scelte nel periodo dal 2002 al 2021. E come il predecessore è
un eccellente modo per recuperare episodi musicali rimasti fuori dagli album ufficiali.
La scelta dei brani è stata fatta dallo stesso Paul Weller che ha anche suggerito idee per l’artwork e l’elegante
packaging DeLuxe; l’album contiene note a cura dello scrittore John Wilson.
