'To Follow Polaris' è il nuovo album di rock progressivo "completo" dei Tangent. Non è necessariamente una sorpresa... è ciò per cui la band è conosciuta. Ma allo stesso tempo è anche qualcosa di diverso. In un anno in cui i membri dei Tangent sono stati visti sul palco di tutto il mondo con Steve Hackett, Soft Machine, Karnataka, David Cross, It Bites, Cyan e altri, è diventato chiaro che non ci sarebbe stato il tempo di riunirsi per più di un concerto nell'aprile 2023. Così il gruppo ha deciso che il leader/scrittore Andy Tillison avrebbe continuato a produrre materiale e avrebbe realizzato un album dei Tangent da solo.
