An Introduction To Syd Barrett è una ristampa della raccolta del 2010 che ha riunito per la prima volta le tracce dei Pink Floyd e Syd Barrett in una raccolta. David Gilmour, che ha in origine lavorato su due album solisti di Barrett, è stato il produttore esecutivo dellalbum. Damon Iddins e Andy Jackson hanno remixato cinque tracce, incluse Octopus, She Took A Long Cool Look, Dominoes e Here I Go agli Astoria Studios, con David Gilmour al basso nellultima traccia. Anche Matilda Mother dei Pink Floyd ha ricevuto un nuovo mix del 2010. Lalbum contiene il booklet originale di 24 pagine con anche grafiche e testi ed è stato concepito includendo la cover art dello storico collaboratore dei Pink Floyd Stom Thorgerson e il suo studio.
