Nonesuch Records pubblica Laysongs del mandolinista e cantautore Chris Thiele!
Laysongs è il suo primo vero album solista: solo Thiele, la sua voce e il suo mandolino nella registrazione dei sei brani originali e tre cover, che contestualizzano ed esprimono le sue idee sulla spiritualità. Registrato in una chiesa convertita a New York durante la pandemia, il pezzo forte di Laysongs è Salt (in the Wounds) of the Earth, diviso in tre parti e ispirato dalle Screwtape Letters di C.S Lewis. Thiele ha realizzato e illustrato in questi brani, che il suo nutrimento spirituale arriva dalla condivisione con gli altri, attività di cui ha sentito grande mancanza durante il periodo di lockdown e che lha spinto a comporre questo nuovo album.
