rari brani hard bop e cool jazz di artisti come Herman Schoonderwalt, i Diamond Five, Wessel
Ilcken e Tony Vos. L'Olanda non ha mai suonato così alla moda! "Il jazz è spazzatura e una
caricatura dell'orchestra moderna; è spazzatura arrangiata da musicisti di mezza tacca a beneficio
del divertimento comune". Nonostante i tentativi dell'establishment culturale olandese di precludere il jazz - come illustra questa
citazione tratta dal numero di ottobre 1926 della rivista musicale De Muziek - i Paesi Bassi furono tra i primi ad adottare il nuovo stile
musicale che arrivò nel Vecchio Continente alla fine della Prima Guerra Mondiale.
