Nel 1974, i Tangerine Dream - allora composti da Edgar Froese, Peter Baumann e Christopher Franke - si sono esibiti in un concerto ormai leggendario, sullo sfondo dell'imponente cattedrale di Coventry. Quasi cinquant'anni dopo, l'attuale incarnazione della band - Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane e Paul Frick - è tornata in quello stesso spazio sacro per esibirsi in un monumentale set “From Virgin To Quantum Years”, che ha fatto da ponte tra le epoche in una performance che riflette la straordinaria e incessante evoluzione della band.
La cattedrale di Coventry è un simbolo di trasformazione e resilienza, con la sua torreggiante guglia che rappresenta sia una ricca storia che una moderna rinascita - qualità che si affiancano all'evoluzione dei Tangerine Dream. Con un'eredità che include molteplici nomination ai Grammy, un vasto catalogo di album rivoluzionari e un corpo iconico di colonne sonore per film, continuano a essere pionieri nel loro campo, con la torcia passata dal fondatore Edgar Froese al suo protetto e attuale bandleader, Thorsten Quaeschning, dopo la scomparsa di Froese nel 2015.
