Questo progetto inedito della Owsley Stanley Foundation e della Claddagh Records è l'ultimo realizzato dal leggendario frontman dei Chieftains, Paddy Moloney.
Un doppio album che rappresenta un vero pezzo di storia della musica: The Chieftains registrati dal vivo alla Boarding House di San Francisco il 1° ottobre 1973 e alla Great American Music Hall il 5 maggio 1976 con la supervisione del producer Owsley "Bear" Stanley.
Il secondo CD contiene anche l'ultima intervista rilasciata da Paddy Moloney prima della sua scomparsa nel 2021 e una storia delle radici irlandesi nella musica Bluegrass di Jerry Garcia dei Grateful Dead. Il libretto di 36 pagine contiene ampie note di copertina dei membri della Owsley Stanley Foundation e del leggendario musicista bluegrass Ricky Skaggs. Il progetto grafico è stato realizzato dal celebre pittore irlandese Conor Campbell. The Foxhunt e disponibile in doppio CD e LP (che contiene solo il concerto del 1973)
